' Apologies to Nature'
Oil on Linen Canvas 80x100 cm (approx.32x40") We cannot deny the impending climate change affects us all. I want to depict this topic in a rather narrative and esthetic way , touching pollution, potable water which we need to treat as the 'new gold ', the extinction of animal breeds and last but not least the importance of our Bees !
'Nothing Else Matters'
Oil on Linen canvas 60x80 cm Inspired by the Pre-Raphaelites and Monet as subject with intense notice to nature , more than ever to draw attention to the importance of it by merging human and nature to be one .
'Brave New World'
Oil on canvas140x140cm Inspired by Ensor, I wondered why and for what reason people sometimes hide or disguises themselves behind 'masks'. I wanted to reflect the evolution how nature, animals and we humans adapt and behave in situations on which we have no control and how we are connected with each other .Those who are familiar with my work know that the pinguin occasionally intrudes into my paintings ..he is my way of depicting a serious matter with a wink.
